It's that time of year again... the ozone hole over the arctic reaches its maximum size (minimum ozone or Dobson units). You can track its progression here: ozonewatch.gsfc.nasa.gov/ . I do not know that much about stratosphere ozone (just starting learning about it in class), but it looks like this year has been one of the better years in recent history in terms of minimum ozone depletion over the arctic (http://ozonewatch.gsfc.nasa.gov/meteorology/annual_data.html), which is exciting news!
