I figured we should start a thread to discuss your local weather observations, conditions, and forecasts. No need to be too technical, just a place to be discuss what we all love, the weather.
Lets get this party started shall we?
9:00 pm 9/17/13 at KISP (Islip, NY)
51 degrees.
Calm Wind.
Clear Sky.
Dry Air.
High Pressure with outstanding radiational cooling! This morning's low was 48 so its very possible it gets lower before midnight in these conditions. Today's record is 45 and tomorrow's record is 43.
Quick side note: KLGA and KJFK were only one degree away from record lows this morning. Obs were 49, records were 48!

Warming trend has slowly begun here on Long Island over the last few days as high pressure has moved offshore. Still though, having 3 nights in a row with temperatures in the 40s is quite impressive for Mid September.
We could surely use the rain that the models are spitting out Saturday night into Sunday morning. Lets hope they have the right idea as its been quite dry here over the last 2 or so months.
