I know one of the things that was tough for me to find when I was first looking for undergraduate programs was a comprehensive list of programs that offered meteorology and meteorology-related degrees. it seems in the several (ahem) years since then, there are a few places that have done a pretty good job of keeping an easy-to-use list of such higher education programs. I'm going to start by linking to the list from the National Weather Association (NWA) as it seems to be easier to browse than the one from AMS.

I notice that while they've done a good job of keeping up with the list of departments and programs, they have some issues including all of the degree options offered by some of the programs I'm familiar with. The NWA list also doesn't seem to have much of an effort to keep the contact info up to date, either. However, they do generally have some sort of email contact for each program, which is something AMS doesn't include in their listing.
AMS list sorted by state is here, for those who are interested:

If anyone is looking for a way of making sure they contact the right person at a particular program, this is a good place to leave some info for someone from that program to check (if such a someone is around, of course). Personally, I know I could help point people in the right direction for the University at Albany and UW-Madison, and I know we have quite the diverse group of people hanging around with many other connections and knowledge that could easily be better than either of these lists!
